It is with the most profound sorrow that I share with Cognigen's family of agents, employees, customers and vendors news of the passing of Kevin Eric Anderson, Founder of Cognigen Networks, Inc.
Kevin died Saturday afternoon at his villa in Chapala, Jalisco, México in the arms of his beloved Laurel and beside his daughters Megan and Erin. He was walking from his office toward the swimming pool when he became ill and then collapsed. His close neighbor and personal physician rushed to his side and with the assistance of paramedics tried valiantly to revive him, but he did not regain consciousness.
Kevin had been in ill health for several years, and recently suffered increasing symptoms to which he finally succumbed. Despite his infirmities he continued to work diligently on behalf of Cognigen. He called me late Thursday afternoon to share with me his latest ideas for increasing opportunities for our agent network. His always impressive intellect and brilliance were focused to the very end on the company he and Laurel founded and loved so deeply.

I was privileged to meet Kevin eleven years ago when we were associated with International Telcom in Seattle. Our business and personal relationships grew in depth and complexity from that time forward. Laurel, her daughters and I are trying our best to recover from the shock of this tragic loss. As trustee of the Anderson Family Trusts I am available for contact on any matter you may have pending with the Cantara agency or Kevin or Laurel.

Life can often be a very fragile existence, and our tenure on Earth but a fleeting moment. A person’s worth is not ultimately measured by wealth accumulated, but rather by the goals one is fortunate enough to accomplish and the benefits one produces for humankind. In all of these respects Kevin Eric Anderson was an exceptionally worthwhile person.

To Our Cognigen Family,
We are all saddened by the news of the death of our founder Kevin Anderson. Kevin will be missed as he has been the heart and soul of our agent force since he and his wife Laurel founded Cognigen Networks, Inc. In my association with him this week, he continued with every bit of strength he had to find new ideas and ways our agents could increase their agent businesses. His efforts for Cognigen have been tireless and his help to me in my responsibilities invaluable.
My faith tells me that we will see Kevin again and share in those precious moments of friendship with him. I personally want to thank him and his family for creating something so unique in Cognigen that it has provided thousands a new opportunity to support their families financially. Our prayers are with his wife Laurel and his children who have lived the Cognigen dream right by Kevin’s side and who are now challenged with us to continue that dream.
We vow to not let Kevin’s dream die. We have great agents in our agent force, employees within Cognigen and vendor associations who will all continue to work hard to support the ongoing efforts of Cognigen.
