The Graduate Student Symposium in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics,
and Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Research application
deadline is fast approaching. Please apply today to be recognized for
your work in the fields of drug metabolism, pharmacology, toxicology,
and other related disciplines. The award details are outlined below and
the application form is attached.

AAPS and Eli Lilly and Company are pleased to announce the Graduate
Symposium in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Clinical
Pharmacology and Translational Research. This program recognizes
excellence in graduate education in these fields as well as drug
metabolism, pharmacology, toxicology, and other related disciplines. The
AAPS Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Drug Metabolism and the
Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Research Sections, together with
Eli Lilly and Company are pleased to support the continuation of
excellence in education.



Six students will be selected to present their research as a 15-20
minute talk at the Graduate Student Symposium in Pharmacokinetics,
Pharmacodynamics, Drug Metabolism, and Clinical Pharmacology and
Translational Research at the AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition.
Selection will be made on the basis of those students judged by the
committee to have provided the most outstanding contributions in the
above fields through their graduate research.



There are no citizenship requirements for this award. All interested
candidates are encouraged to apply. Your research may be submitted to
only one AAPS graduate symposium committee for consideration or your
submission will be disqualified from all symposia.



Students must be in their final year of graduate studies leading to the
Ph.D. degree (or will be awarded their Ph.D. in 2007). On the basis of
submitted abstracts and summaries, six students will be selected to
present their research in the Graduate Symposium at the 2007 AAPS Annual
Meeting and Exposition. Selection will be made on the basis of those
students judged by the committee to have provided the most outstanding
contributions in the above fields through their graduate research.



Each student selected will receive a complimentary registration to the
2007 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition, a cash award of $250, and a
commemorative plaque (both of which will be presented at the Annual
Meeting). In addition, travel expenses will be reimbursed (up to $1,000
domestic/$1,500 international) after the meeting.
