Census 2.01 is released

Dear all,

Census 2.01 has been released for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux! Windows an=
d Mac binary installation packages, as well as the source code, are avail=
able for immediate download at http://sourceforge.net/projects/census2/, =
as usual, and limited documentation is provided at http://census2.sourcef=
orge.net (although this site appears to be quite slow at the moment).

This version adds minor bug fixes to version 2.0, which added basic PsN s=
upport, run record export (HTML, CSV and LaTeX) and parameter tables (HTM=
L and LaTeX), and corrected bugs in $OMEGA and $SIGMA initial estimates, =
zipped run archive preparation, mixture model interpretation, and errors =
in parameter label import.

Census 2 is a comprehensive project manager for NONMEM 7.2 and above, pro=
viding detailed summary, comparison and overview of the runs comprising a=
given project, including the display of output data and post-run proce=
ssing. The new version is a complete rewrite of Census from the ground up=
, using free and open source development tools (Lazarus and FPC - more in=
formation at http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org). In addition to adding cr=
oss-platform support, Census 2 incorporates a number of interface changes=
, including flexible run tagging and filtering, report output in HTML and=
LaTeX, a portable database file format (Census databases are now singl=
e files, rather than folders), full support for NONMEM 7.2 (including sup=
port for multiple estimation steps), and too many others to mention.

It should be noted that Census 2 is a completely new application, and has=
few links to Census 1.x (which has been put on development hiatus for =
the time being, owing to time limitations). Also, Census 2 only supports =
versions of NONMEM that produce XML output, which means that NONMEM V, VI=
and earlier version of 7.x are not supported (although this may change=
in the future - please let me know if this is a feature you need).

Census 2 is, and will remain, free software under the GNU Lesser General =
Public License, version 3.0. Comments, criticisms, and suggestions are we=
lcome. If you would like to help with the development of Census 2, please=
contact me. Thanks and appreciation to my colleagues at Exprimo for be=
ta testing!

Best regards
Justin
