imulation within Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics and Metabolism (PDM) of Medicin=

Job Summary

Principal Scientist: Job ID: 4709410

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to support a range of pro=
jects primarily in the oncology therapeutic area, covering small molecules =
and novel modalities. Implementing translational science, such as empirical=
 and/or model-based interspecies scaling of PK-PD and making human dose pro=
jections, will be an important task supporting projects transitioning into =
the clinic. In the earlier phases of drug discovery, development of mechani=
stic and/or systems pharmacology models will be an essential responsibility=
 for guiding discovery teams to select appropriate compounds and molecular =
targets. In addition to portfolio support, the successful applicant will ai=
d biologists and experimentalists in implementing emerging methodologies an=
d technologies with respect to the design, execution and interpretation of =
in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies. The successful applicant will ha=
ve the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders outside of the modeli=
ng and simulation discipline. He/she is also expected to network with globa=
l modelers in Translational Modeling and Simulation as well as other groups=
 (Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics) to share knowledge, work on colla=
borative projects and enhance consistency in best practices across sites, d=
isease areas, and therapeutic approaches. The individual will have opportun=
ities to present scientific results both internally and externally through =
conference presentations and publications.
