[NMusers] Cognigen/SimulationsPlus Intro to Population modeling Course - University of Florida

From: Jill Fiedler-Kelly <>
Date: Fri, 2 Aug 2019 15:16:46 -0400 (EDT)

Need to learn the basics of population modeling using NONMEM quickly?
Want to be able to interpret NONMEM output and understand how to discrimina=
te between models and know how to assess the quality of a model fit?
Want to finally understand what all the Greek symbols and acronyms mean?
We can help!

Plan to join us in Orlando, Florida October 17-19, 2019 for our 3-day works=
hop. Registration is now open. The workshop will be taught by Jill Fiedler-=
Kelly, Sébastien Bihorel, and Stefan Röpcke of Cognigen Corporati=
on and the University at Buffalo. Jill is co-author o f “Introducti=
on to Population Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic Analysis with Nonlinear Mi=
xed Effects Models” (John Wiley & Sons Inc., 2014) with Joel Owen.=

This workshop has been designed to provide the necessary information to suc=
cessfully implement population pharmacokinetic methodology in a drug develo=
pment program and to provide the foundation for understanding the basics of=
NONMEM coding and interpretation of NONMEM output. The material is structu=
red to impart both the theoretical and practical aspects of the population =
approach and is versatile so that participants with diverse backgrounds and=
 areas of expertise may benefit.

To ease the learning curve and ensure that participants are up and running =
with NONMEM very quickly, the [ | KIWI=
Pharmacometric Communication Platform  ] will be used in c=
onjunction with NONMEM. KIWI is useful in facilitating code writing, findin=
g errors, comparing output from different models, and generating point-and-=
click model diagnostics.

Bring your family to enjoy everything Orlando has to offer prior to the cou=
rse, then stay for the ACoP meeting starting on Sunday.
We look forward to seeing you this fall :)
