Opening position for a 1.5-year post doc in QSP at Servier (France)

The Centre of Excellence in Drug Safety and Pharmacokinetics (CentEx DSP) a=
t Servier has an opening position for a highly motivated Post-doc in Quanti=
tative Systems Pharmacology (QSP).
The candidate will be full-time dedicated to QSP modelling activities to su=
pport pre-clinical and clinical development programmes. The candidate will =
have strong relationships with other modellers (i.e. early phase, QSP and P=
BPK) and stakeholders within Servier (i.e. clinicians, pharmacologists, onc=
ologist, immunologist).
Challenges
The candidate will be responsible for:

· Support and development of mechanistic QSP models within oncolog=
y and immunology.

· Model evaluation, qualification and validation of ODE-based mech=
anistic QSP models.

· Iterative implementation of relevant in-house data as well as li=
terature data for further model refinement.

· Model analysis, uncertainty assessment and documentation.

· Presenting QSP activities to internal/external experts in the fi=
eld.



According to his/her experience, the candidate will also participate to:

· The improvement of modelling tools and methodological developmen=
t

· Promotion of modelling activities within the Servier group

Skills and Experience
You hold a PhD in a relevant area (Systems Pharmacology/Biology, Biophysics=
 or Biomathematics, Biomedical or Biochemical Engineering, Computational Bi=
ology or other fields related to dynamic mathematical modelling & simulatio=
n approaches). Ideally, you have hands-on experience in quantitative biolog=
ical systems modelling within oncology, cell biology or immunology. You are=
 fluent in English, both orally and written, and have good communication an=
d presentation skills. The pharmacometrics group at Servier is located in F=
rance (Suresnes near Paris and Orléans). Working knowledge of French is n=
ot a requirement.
This post-doc position in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology requires good k=
nowledge of simulation and programming software such as Matlab and R. Knowl=
edge in Simbiology, SimCYP, GastroPlus or PKSim is an asset. Furthermore, t=
he position requires a good understanding of pharmacological, immunological=
, cell biological or/and oncological principles.
You have an analytical mind-set and a strong desire to further develop and =
apply modelling and simulation in drug development. You appreciate working =
in teams of scientists with different backgrounds and the opportunity of ex=
panding your network at an international level.
