Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Applied Pharmacokineti=
cs and Pharmacodynamics who will be based in the Centre for Applied Pharmac=
okinetic Research (CAPKR) in the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry. CAPKR =
is an internationally recognised, academic-led centre of excellence for res=
earch and training in quantitative prediction of human pharmacokinetics (ht=
tps:// ).

You will have a first degree either in a biologically related subject (e.g.=
 pharmacy, pharmacology or systems biology) or in applied mathematics/engin=
eering, with a PhD involving modelling in the area of clinical pharmacology=
. You should also have a strong interest in physiologically-based pharmacok=
inetics, pharmacodynamics, biological molecules or precision medicines and =
will have demonstrated an ability to carry out independent, (inter)national=
ly competitive research. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate an =
upward trajectory in your research terms of quality, as measured by publica=
tions and contribution to grant income. Evidence of multidisciplinary and/o=
r clinical collaboration would be beneficial.

You will be expected to drive forward an independent research programme to =
complement ongoing activities in the CAPKR team and the Division, where the=
re is already a strong international track record of work. It is expected t=
hat you will setup appropriate links with basic science and clinical groups=
 across the University in order to initiate projects that will enable advan=
cement of your research programme to an internationally competitive/interna=
tionally leading standard. You will be cognisant of the potential for knowl=
edge transfer in your research.

Additionally, you will contribute to teaching in the Division of Pharmacy a=
nd Optometry that enhance the current undergraduate and postgraduate progra=
mmes including the MPharm degree and the MSc in Model-Based Drug Developmen=
t and develop teaching and assessment methods and input to curriculum devel=
opment, as required.
